Canadian Apheresis Group (CAG)
�The Canadian Apheresis Group (CAG) was formed in 1980 under the auspices of National Health and Welfare, Canada. The group includes representatives from 42 apheresis units in the 19 major medical centers in Canada. During the past 18 years, the CAG has been involved in the organization and direction of several randomized, controlled studies of plasma exchange (1-5). In addition, the CAG has acted as a registry by collecting and annually reviewing information on all 103 416 apheresis procedures (from 1980 to 1997) with the directors of each medical center."

�The ERA-EDTA is a European Medical Association whose purpose is to encourage and to report advances in the field of clinical nephrology, dialysis, renal transplantation and related subjects. It is formed of individuals only: full members, associate members, honorary members and senior members. It is open to all qualified workers in the field of interest of the Association.�

European Dialysis and Transplant Nurses Association & European Renal Care Association
�The European Dialysis and Transplant Nurses Association/European Renal Care Association (EDTNA/ERCA) was established in 1971 to address the special needs of nurses and other professionals that treat patients suffering from renal failure. Since then, the Association has grown to become one of the most important forums in Europe for the exchange of information and experience for all members of the renal care team who treat patients suffering from renal failure. EDTNA/ERCA is a multi-disciplinary organisation of individual members. European Society for Biomaterials (ESB)
�The European Society for Biomaterials was founded in March 1976, and became a member of the International Union of Societies for Biomaterials Sciences and Engineering (IUS-BSE) at its conception in 1979. The ESB today has approximately 600 members from 27 different countries worldwide.�

European Society for Hemapheresis (ESFH)

European Society for Paediatric Haematology and Immunology

European Tissue Engineering Society (ETES)

Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT)
"Founded in 1996, FACT establishes standards for high quality medical and laboratory practice. FACT is a non-profit organization developed by the International Society for Cellular Therapy (ISCT) and the American Society of Blood and Marrow Transplantation (ASBMT) for the purposes of voluntary inspection and accreditation in the field of hematopoietic cell therapy."

International Society for Experimental Hematology (ISEH)

International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis (ISPD)

South Central Association of Blood Banks (SCABB)

�The SEABB was established to promote education and communication between professionals involved in transfusion and transplant medicine and technology. Tennessee Association of Blood Banks (TABB)
�The TABB was established in 1971 as a not-for-profit organization of blood bank and transfusion medicine professionals and other individuals working in this field. Wisconsin Association of Blood Banks (WABB)
