The Puget Sound Blood Center is an independent, volunteer-supported nonprofit regional resource providing blood and tissue, research, and education of high quality and value. We have proudly served donors and patients for 60 years.
Personable, flexible nursing professional needed to join our positive, energetic staff providing individualized care for donors and patients during therapeutic apheresis (blood separation) procedures. In this role, you will be participating in a variety of new, advanced medical treatments as well as ongoing therapeutic procedures all the while striving to provide the best quality, holistic care for our patients. Our training program and team of staff will provide the skills, knowledge and encouragement necessary to successfully perform our procedures. Candidates should enjoy the ability to spend 1 on 1 time with his/her patients and our community donors while experiencing the variety of working at local hospitals and our own facility on First Hill.
Requirements include: Current Washington State RN license; 1-2 years experience working in an acute care setting required with previous apheresis, phlebotomy, ICU/CCU or dialysis experience strongly preferred. We are seeking a nurse that can work successfully on his/her own and within a team. Full-time position working four-ten hour shifts including alternating weekends and on-call duties, based in Seattle.
