(Posted 7/26/2007) New York Blood Center, one of the nation's largest community-based independent research, blood and clinical service organizations in the country, has an excellent opportunity for a RN - Sr. Manager, in our Clinical Services Department, located in White Plains, NY.
The candidate selected for this position will be responsible for, but not limited to: overseeing the daily activities of the Mobile Therapeutic Apheresis Service, which includes managing the Mobile Apheresis RNs, a RN Coordinator and an Administrative Assistant (approximately 10-15 employees); maintaining a high level of expertise and knowledge, necessary to direct the overall operations of the mobile unit, in adherence to the policies and procedures, as defined by NYBC, NY/NJDOH, AABB, FACT, FDA, and other regulatory and accrediting agencies. Writing and revising department SOPs; maintaining quality patient care and services to the community through implantation of staff training programs, standards of care, process improvement plans and excellent customer service; partnering with the Medical Director to achieve the financial objectives of the department, through annual budget planning and cost analysis preparation.
For consideration, the candidate must meet the following requirements: must have NY and/or NJ RN license and a minimum of 3 years critical care nursing experience. Apheresis experience strongly preferred. Previous managerial experience required. Excellent leadership qualities, communication skills, organizational skills, and customer service experience are required. BSN strongly preferred.
