Position Description:
Therakos, Inc., a member of Johnson & Johnson�s Family of Companies, is recruiting for an Associate Director Scientific Affairs. The position will be ideally located in PA, but can be field-based.

Therakos, Inc. specializes in extracorporeal immune cell therapies for the prevention and treatment of serious immune-mediated and neoplastic diseases. Therakos� proprietary procedures in photopheresis are used by physicians for the palliative treatment of the skin manifestations of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma.

The Associate Director Scientific Affairs will Serve as a scientific and clinical support resource for Company. This includes directly communicating scientific and medical information during interactions with health care practitioners and researchers. Topic areas include: Apheresis, Dermatology, Hematology, Oncology and Immunology. Provide oral and written responses to unsolicited requests for medical information related to Company product which is an Extracorporeal Apheresis procedure. Build advocacy for Company Extracorporeal Apheresis product with opinion leaders at key academic centers worldwide. Responsible to represent Company to national and international medical organizations. Provide medical content and representation for Company during dossier preparation and meetings with Regulatory bodies (FDA, EMEA). Provide technical support and educational training on apheresis and related procedures. Perform market development activities for new products and indications. Provide assistance on special projects in conjunction with Clinical Development, Research & Development, or Commercial.

Position Qualifications:
An MD degree with a minimum 1 year of experience in Apheresis is required. Experience or interest in immunology, oncology, gastroenterology, or dermatology are desired. The qualified candidate must be scientifically and clinically oriented. The qualified candidate will be someone who has a proven track record of the following: service oriented; enjoys learning and teaching; outgoing and at ease in all situations, self-starter; entrepreneurial; team oriented. Excellent oral (including presentation skills) and written communications skills are required. The qualifed candidate must be willing and able to travel up to 60% of the time- both domestic and international.
